Some Frequently Asked Questions

How soon will my bins be delivered by envirobin? We promise to have your new bins delivered within 10 working days from the receipt of you order. How do I inform my current service provider to take their bins back? Upon signing up with us, we will immediately send you a Welcome Pack. The Welcome Pack will include a pre-typed letter that you simply sign and return to your current service provider. Upon receipt of this, they will know that you have joined envirobin and will remove their bins. Are the two bins the same as I currently use? Yes. It works in a similar way with 2 bins, but the bin collection type may vary. Please click here to see the collection schedule. Also unlike other service providers all envirobin customers receive the same size bin thus allowing them to move between service packages if required. What time do I leave out my waste and recycling? We will be providing the service from 7am, so it is advisable to leave your bin out for collection the night before or very early on the morning of your collection day. Which are waste weeks and which are and recycling weeks? Click here for a printable schedule showing recycling and waste weeks How is the bin weighed? When your bin is lifted it is weighed using onboard weighing technology that reads a microchip in your bin. As the bin is emptied it is weighed on the way up and again on the way down; the actual weight you are charged for is the difference between these two. The weight is recorded on the spot and forwarded automatically to our office. How do I know the weighing equipment is reading correctly? All weighing equipment used has been certified by Legal Metrology (a division of the National Standards Authority of Ireland) and is subject to regular audit. How do I manage my service online? Use the client area of this site to get instant access to your account. You can view your collection schedules, previous collection weights and other news, tips and information What do I put in each of the bins? Click here for a detailed description of what goes into each of your bins. Can I cancel my contract with envirobin at any time? Yes. If at any time you wish to cancel our service your contract may be terminated by giving at least 14 days written notice either by E Mail or letter. How do I claim Tax Relief on my Domestic Refuse Charges? If you are in a PAYE tax category, just send your latest P60 and your refuse receipt from that year and the amount will be added to your tax credits. If you have not done this yet, you can backdate it by up to 4 years. For more information please call the Revenue Commissioners on 1890 777 425. What is a Direct Debit? A direct debit is an instruction from you that it is OK for us to get paid directly by your bank. We will bill you at the end of each month and debit your account that amount between 7 and 14 days from the date of the bill. If there is any change to the payment frequency we will notify you in advance of your account being debited. In the event of an error, you are entitled to an immediate refund. You can cancel your DDI at any time by writing to envirobin and your bank. What is e-Billing? E-billing allows us to send your monthly bill to the email address that you supplied us with when you signed up. In fact, we hope that all customers will avail of this feature.
